Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis (CDSA)
This stool test evaluates the general health and function of the gut, including the bacteria present in the gut and the effectiveness of digestion and enzyme function.
Things tested for include -
Presence of yeast, parasites and other harmful bacteria as well as beneficial bacteria
Undigested food such as fat globules, starch grains, food remnants, meat fibres, vegetables fibres and specific fatty acids (indicating malabsorption or poor enzyme function)
Inflammatory markers which can be used to diagnose Coeliac disease or differentiate between Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (such as Crohns and Ulcerative Colitis)
Tumour and Ulcer markers, sensitive even without the presence of gastrointestinal bleeding
